Here’s an example of a recent phishing message that was sent to me.   The message claims to be from ConnectNC, but it’s not. How can you tell?

  1. If you’re unsure, please forward the email to help@connectnc.com. Please don’t reply to the message or click on anything within the message.
  2. When you click to forward the message, you will see that the sender’s address is NOT from ConnectNC.
  3. ConnectNC doesn’t send you email to tell you that your password is expiring.
